Refund policy

Return & Refund Policy

At CORA Flutes, every instrument is individually handcrafted from natural wood and carefully tuned before it leaves our workshop. Because each flute is unique and many are built to order, all sales are considered final except in the circumstances outlined below.

Our goal is to ensure that every customer receives a beautiful, fully functional instrument. If an issue occurs due to our workmanship or during shipping, we will do everything we reasonably can to make it right.

Eligible Returns, Repairs & Refunds

A return, repair, replacement, exchange, or refund may be considered only if:

  • Your flute arrived damaged during shipping.
  • The flute has a manufacturing or craftsmanship defect, including structural cracks, splits, or significant chips that were not disclosed prior to shipment.
  • You received the wrong item.
  • The flute has a verified tuning issue resulting from our workmanship.

All claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. CORA Flutes reserves the right to determine whether repair, replacement, exchange, store credit, partial refund, or full refund is the most appropriate resolution.

Items That Are Not Eligible for Return or Refund

Returns or refunds will not be accepted for:

  • Change of mind or buyer’s remorse.
  • Ordering the wrong key, wood species, tuning, or configuration.
  • Personal preference regarding tone, appearance, weight, feel, or playing characteristics.
  • Natural variations in wood grain, figure, knots, mineral streaks, spalting, color, or other naturally occurring characteristics of wood.
  • Minor cosmetic differences that do not affect the flute’s structural integrity or playability.
  • Damage caused after delivery, including dropping the flute, impacts, misuse, neglect, improper storage, improper cleaning, or unauthorized repairs or modifications.
  • Damage resulting from excessive humidity, dryness, rapid temperature changes, direct sunlight, water exposure, or other environmental conditions.
  • Normal wear from regular use.

Because wood is a natural material, every flute is unique. Natural variations are part of the beauty and character of handcrafted instruments and are not considered defects.

Inspection Period

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.

To be eligible for any repair, replacement, exchange, or refund, you must contact us within 7 calendar days of the delivery date.

Your flute must remain in substantially the same condition in which it was received and must not be altered, repaired, modified, or further damaged after delivery.

Repairs Before Refunds

Refunds are considered a last resort.

Whenever reasonably possible, we will first attempt to repair or replace the flute. In many cases this is the quickest way to resolve the issue while allowing you to keep a handcrafted instrument built specifically for you.

How to Start a Claim

Please email Coraflutes@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs of the flute.
  • A short video if the issue involves tuning or sound quality.

Do not return your flute without first receiving written authorization from CORA Flutes.

If your request is approved, we will provide detailed return instructions, including the appropriate return shipping address. Returns received without prior authorization may be refused.

Return Shipping

If we determine the issue resulted from our workmanship, an incorrect shipment, or shipping damage, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

If inspection shows the flute does not qualify under this policy, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Refund Process

Once your flute has been received and inspected, we will notify you of our decision.

If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that banks and credit card providers may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact us at Coraflutes@gmail.com.

Shipping Damage

If your package arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the package before opening it whenever possible. Keep all original packaging materials, as they may be required for shipping insurance claims.

Limitation of Liability

Except where prohibited by law, CORA Flutes’ liability is limited to the original purchase price of the flute. We are not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products.
